The Teaching and Learning International Survey (TALIS), administered by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), focuses on the learning environment and the working conditions of teachers in schools.

TALIS fills important information gaps in the international comparison of education systems and offers an opportunity for teachers and Heads of School to provide their input into education analysis and policy development in key policy areas. It also allows countries to identify other countries facing similar challenges to them, and to learn from their policy approaches.

Malta has participated in TALIS 2008, TALIS 2018, and TALIS 2024. Results for TALIS 2024 were published in October 2025.
